It’s been a challenging season for the under-10 Eliminators ringette team so far, but they’ve come a long way.
The Medicine Hat side earned its first win Saturday in Strathmore, beating the home team 9-4.
Leighton Wright led the way offensively with four goals. Margo Kerr added a hat trick, while Sutton Provost and Ravyn Lehr also found the back of the net.
Hat goalie Sadie Berstad kept Strathmore at bay as well.
The win followed a 6-4 Strathmore victory in the first half of the doubleheader. Wright, Kerr and Reese Tabor scored in the loss for the Eliminators.
The Eliminators are in Lethbridge this weekend.
