Crescent Heights’ girls volleyball teams are putting up a strong offence on and off the court lately.
The varsity Vikings won a tournament in Calgary Saturday night, and next weekend will raise awareness for cancer research by promoting a pink theme at their home event which starts Oct. 12.
At Henry Wise Wood High School, Crescent Heights beat Taber’s WR Myers 2-1 (25-22, 19-25, 15-10) in the championship game. They went 6-0 overall in the event.
That follows a third-place result in Airdrie and includes a 1-1 league record entering play this week.
In other local volleyball news, Notre Dame Academy’s girls won the A, B and C divisions at the Alexandra Middle School tournament this past weekend. No scores were reported.
