Mohawks rugby squad blows out Chinook

Medicine Hat News The Hat High Mohawks rallied to a landslide 39-0 victory over the Chinook Coyotes on Thursday in Lethbridge. Louis Van der Westhuizen and Owen Mustard led the Mohawks with two tries apiece in the victory. Bretton Labash, Joe Winterburn and Fatmir Krqeli added individual tries and Lachlan Hardiker chipped in with one conversion to pick up the lopsided victory in enemy territory. The Mohawks junior varsity squad was also in action Thursday, dropping a 22-0 contest to Vulcan. The Mohawks senior rugby team will return to Hat High to host the Winston Churchill Bulldogs on Wednesday at 4 p.m. 6-5
