The Medicine Hat Hounds fell short of the semifinal at the South Central Alberta Hockey League bantam AA South Conference playoff tournament with a 7-3 loss to the Foothills Bisons Saturday at the Kinplex.

Josh Drefs did all he could to push his Hounds into the semifinals, netting a hat trick to keep the Bisons on their heels, but Foothills escaped with the victory thanks in part to a 27-save performance from goaltender Josh Robins.

McCallum Bakker led the Bisons offence with two goals and two assists.

The Wheatland Warriors went on to win the tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Okotoks Oilers in the final

The Hounds finished 1-2 at the tournament.
