Monsignor McCoy’s Colts baseball team improved to 3-0 in their trip south on Tuesday, beating another team in Arizona.

McCoy had to come from behind against the Player’s Choice Academy squad in Phoenix, but prevailed by an 8-3 score.

A two-run fourth plus a four-run seventh coincided with Kayden Berndt coming on in a relief pitching appearance. All Berndt did was strike out five, not allowing a hit in three innings to get the win.

Cavan Kolody scored three times, Keon Vereschagin hit a double and McCoy continued to show their southern counterparts that Canadian teams can get it done on the diamond too.
