1. Outside of pipelines, what is the biggest challenge facing Alberta?
The lack of support, understanding and representation by our federal government. For example, worried about SNC-Lavalin jobs, when Alberta has lost far more than that. How about the truck drivers that drove to Ottawa? The people are not being heard by our government. It seems that politicians forget who they work for. Remember when government was for for the people, by the people? Jobs, independence and solidarity are big concerns.
2. How do your party’s policies bring jobs to Southeastern Alberta?
No GST, no carbon tax, no equalization payments, reduced personal and business tax, no taxes under $45,000.00 for everyone, maintenance of current services, freedom to manage our own resources, first nations self government; all equate to the betterment of life and work in Alberta. This will, in turn, entice business to explore opportunities, furthering the job creation and improved standard of living.
3. What improvements can be made to the Alberta health care system?
With everything, improvements can be made. Alberta Independence is planning to maintain all services until we can speak directly with Albertans involved, identify needs and issues and develop strategies and policy to improve or enhance these services.
4. Why should youth be optimistic about the future of Alberta?
These are interesting times, with an increasingly unsettled population, Alberta faces a choice. Status quo, or a chance to create a land of opportunity, freedom and independence. With the proposals of the Alberta Independence Party, all Albertans can have the chance to be heard, and help create a better life for all of us, now, and into the future.
