MARY HANLON

1934-2022
It is with great sadness that the Hanlon family announces the passing of our dear Mary Minnie. She was a tender and loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, friend and nurse. She was a maritimer at heart, born in Aulac, New Brunswick in 1934. She loved an afternoon of bridge with her friends, music, and berry picking. She loved time at the cottage in the Cypress Hills; watching the wrens and looking for bluebirds. She loved a good joke, a good story, a good time and heart to heart visits with friends and family. She and Dad; the love of her life, Roy, always had an open door policy at their home and loved it when friends popped by for an “elbows on the table” visit. Mom loved to help people she knew and those she did not. She was honest with her words and kind. She loved to laugh. Those who met her always remembered her spirit and smile. She never forgot a name or a face. She was an amazing woman who we were blessed to have in our lives. She valued her friends; present and past. She was strong in faith. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. She was our anchor. She is loved beyond words.
We would like to thank Dr. Anselm, Dr. Lintott and Mrs. Lintott, and all the staff at St. Joseph’s, for the care and compassion given to Mom and our family.
At this time, no formal funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Mary with a donation, may do so to HALO Air Ambulance #12 – 1 Airport Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 5G4. Please make cheques out to HALO. To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: office@pattisonfuneralhome.com subject heading: Mary Hanlon, or you may visit http://www.pattisonfuneralhome.com and leave a message of condolence.

STAN FOREMAN

1938 ~ 2022

We remember Stanley “Stan” Foreman (84), who passed into Jesus’ waiting arms on June 6, 2022. Known throughout Southern Alberta as “Stan the Carpet Man”, Stan led a selfless life of love and care for others, particularly in Medicine Hat.
Stan is survived by his loving bride of 61 years, Beatrice, who together built a wonderful family of 3 sons: Daryl (Sue), Kevin (Colette), and Owen (Jaime) Foreman; 2 daughters: Colleen (Kerry) Wasilow and Carolann (Mike) Janzer. Stan’s love extends forever to his 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and his surviving siblings, Ken (Jeanne) Foreman and Shirley Rush.
Stan was born in Chauvin, Alberta on April 7, 1938, and attended Canadian Bible College in Regina where he met Bea. He started his career as a pastor for many small-town churches throughout British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Montana, eventually working in the carpet industry to provide for his growing family. In 1974, he and Bea moved to Medicine Hat to join Kulpe Karpets as part owner, Partner, and General Manager. Then in 1985, he and business partner, Ken Straarup, founded Main Floor Carpets, a thriving enterprise in southeastern Alberta, where he worked and served the community for over 30 years until his retirement in 2016.
Stan attended Hillcrest Evangelical Church for the past 48 years.
We would like to thank all the staff at Masterpiece Retirement for their care and attention of Stan.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of Stan’s life which will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W. on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 11a.m. A time of fellowship will follow in the Cook Southland Reception Facility with interment thereafter at Hillside Cemetery.
