1931 ~ LOUIS SEIFERT ~ 2019

Louis Martin Seifert of Medicine Hat, Alberta passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019. The Funeral Service was held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH yesterday. 1943 ~ MARVIN SCHMIDT ~ 2019

Marvin Schmidt, beloved brother and uncle passed away on January 17th, 2019 at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital at the age of 76. He was born in Maple Creek, Sask. on Jan.9th 1943 to Adam & Ida Schmidt. He was predeceased by his parents; 2 brothers Otto and Harold; and 2 sisters. Elsie Beck and Freada Giese; as well as partner for many years Liz Babiuk. Marv is survived by 1 brother Art(Bernice) Schmidt. 2 sisters Alice Gerber and Delores( Jim) Mutschler He was loved and will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. 1943~FRANCIS HARVEY EISERMAN~2019

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Francis Eiserman, cherished husband of Patricia (nee Nitchke), proud father of Guy (Sheila) and Lee (Lori); and beloved grandfather to Courtnee, Cole and Kaitlyn, announce his passing on January 20, 2019 at the age of 75 years in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Francis is also survived by one brother, Norman (Bev) and sister, Shirley (Harley). He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Ericka. Francis was born and raised in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. It was there that Francis began to farm and he and Patricia started to raise their family. Francis and Patricia moved to the Medicine Hat area where they lived for the past 45 years. He loved the outdoors and spent many a summer camping with his family. After retirement, Francis and Pat enjoyed running away from the chill of the snow by spending winters in the desert in Arizona. He was a fan of curling, golf and fishing and spending his summers out at Golden Sheaf Park.
An interment service will be held for family and friends on Friday, January 25th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Those attending the graveside service are requested to meet inside the cemetery gates at 1:15 p.m. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to a charity of ones choice in Francis’s name. 1957 ~ TAMMY LARSEN ~ 2019

Tammy Fay Larsen, beloved wife of Victor "Vic" Larsen of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 at the age of 61 years. Tammy also leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Gordon & Bernice Willerton; one daughter, Janine Larsen; two sons, Christopher Kowtich and Timothy Kowtich; grandchildren, Ashley Hopkins and Bella Larsen; four sisters, Terry (Les) Edgeworth, Jeri (Chris) Smith, Wanda (Ken) White and Bonnie (Bert) Fry; and her brother, Gordon (Sharon) Larsen. Tammy was predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Larsen. JOSEPH C. RIES

August 12, 1941 – January 19, 2019, 76 years old. After a long hard battle with his health Joe took his last breath at the Medicine Hat Regional hospital and peacefully went to rest in the arms of the lord.
Joe was born on August 12, 1941 in the Prelate hospital to Gottlieb and Margaret Ries. He lived on the family farm with his parents, grandparents, brother, aunts and uncles. He attended Richmound school until his grade 12 year when he moved to Fox Valley to live with his uncle Frank and Aunt Betty Schneider on their farm so he could ride the bus with his cousin Linda, who was starting school at that time. In June of his grade 12 year he broke his arm playing ball and had to defer writing his grade 12 final exams until the fall. He then went to Medicine Hat and worked at the chemical plant for 6 weeks, at that time a position opened up for as assistant administration at the RM of Happyland in Leader. He was the successful applicant and later took the administrators position and stayed working there for 47 years. He retired in 2005. He felt very honored when the RM named a road after him.
In 1965 he married the love of his life, Nina. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing and socializing with family and friends. During the 1980’s he spent many hours golfing with his father-in-law, Edwin. He was a long-time member of the Leader Lions, as well as a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member.
In 1969 he and Nina expanded their family with a son, Charles. In 1973 a daughter, Bobbi. His family continued to grow, with a son-in-law, Gary Brehm. He was then blessed with 2 grandsons Ashton Brehm in 1993, and Shay Brehm in 1996.
Predeceasing him was his mother, Margaret, his father Gottlieb, his father-in-law, Edwin Kiltau, a sister-in-law Violet Ries and a nephew Robin Ries.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Nina, a son Charles (Andrea Stepp), a daughter Bobbi (Gary) Brehm and grandsons Ashton and Shay Brehm. One brother Ralph Ries, mother-in-law Sada Kiltau, as well as numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law that blessed him with many nieces and nephews. He cherished and loved them all.

A Vigil Service will be held at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Leader, SK on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 7:30 pm, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Leader, SK. It is with breaking hearts that the family of Richard Gregory Weinberger announce his passing on January 19, 2019 at the age of 71 years. After a long road of struggles with his health he passed away where he wanted to be, at home with his wife. Beloved husband of Dianne (Stein) Weinberger for 49 years; loving father of their oldest daughter Pamela (Terry) Whitfield and their children Danielle (Josh), Drake and Drue; their son Derek Weinberger and their youngest daughter April (Scott) Duchscherer and their children Ethan and Abbie. He is also survived by his brother Harvey Weinberger, sisters, Ann (John) Lacher, Tilley (Ed) Heino, Barbara Weinberger, Marie (Tim) Koch, Tina (Tony) Koch, Lucille (Martin) Bischoff, Lillian Weinberger, Emma (Murray) Haubrich and Geraldine (Warren) Haubrich; his brother-in-law Paul Tuchscherer, mother-in-law Clara Stein, brother-in-law Rod (Janice) Stein, sisters-in-law, Marie Stein, Sandy (Dean) Lerner, and Donna Stein as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gregory and Melonia Weinberger; sister Frances Bachmeier, brother-in-law Henry Bachmeier, sister Rose Tuchscherer, sister-in-law Pat Weinberger, Goddaughter Rochelle Koch and father-in-law Alphonse Stein. In Richard’s younger years he loved spending time with his friends, farming, curling and most of all his family. He loved his cows, vehicles, motorcycles and worked very hard providing for his family in Fox Valley. After settling in Medicine Hat, he worked for South Rock until 2000 when his health began to fail him. He retired and spent his days listening to old time rock and roll music with a deep love for Elvis tunes. He lived for his wife and their children, and against all odds his will to live gave us extra time to love him. He has left an unbearable hole in our hearts. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Tomy Manjaly celebrant. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery at a later date .
