Bev is survived by her spouse of 37 years, Michael Eiers; her children, Tom (Cindy) Roberts, Alleen Eirich, and Ray (Candice) Roberts; her three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy (Krystal), and Jason; as well as two great grandchildren, Maxx and Otto. She also leaves two step-daughters, Jean Eiers and Kelly Eiers; three step-grandchildren, Lindsay, Kira and Daniel; and one step-great grandchild, Audrey. Bev is also survived by several close cousins and their families, as well as Mike's remaining siblings and their families. Mom was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Curtis and Florence Newton; the family relocated to Medicine Hat in the early 50s to start the Medicine Hat Transportation Company (now Medicine Hat Transit Co). Mom met Harvey Roberts whom she married, and the couple raised their three children together. In the mid 70s Mom returned to school to take the LPN course, which she passed with honors, then she worked at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for several years in the maternity ward. Mom then moved to Calgary in the late 70s and worked as a LPN for many years at the Grace Hospital. It was there during the early 80s that she met Mike, and the couple lived on an acreage where they enjoyed rural life with their horses, dogs and cats until retirement. In 1991, Mom and Mike built a home in Radium and resided there for 30 years. In their retirement years, they enjoyed many travels, including going south in winter to avoid the snow. They purchased a park home in Mesa and lived there during the winter months until 2017. Mom and Mike then relocated to Medicine Hat in August 2018 where they lived until her passing. A memorial mass and a private interment will be held at a later date.
