Regional Canada Day activities schedule

Multiple southern Alberta towns are getting ready to celebrate Canada Day with many activities to choose from.

Taber:
8-10:30 a.m.: Free pancake breakfast behind Administration Building at 4900 50 Street
11 a.m. : Flag Raising Ceremony at Confederation Park followed by Cake 
11:30 a.m.: Indigenous Dancers 
12-5 p.m.: games with Taber Summer Programs, Face Painting with Taber Youth Do Crew, Petting Zoo with Petland, Bouncy Castles
12 p.m – 5:00pm: Food Trucks
12 -2pm.: Water Fight with the Taber Fire Department 
12:30-5 p.m.: Live Entertainment: 
12:30 p.m. – Dan the One Man Band
2. p.m. – Jolene & the Inquisitive Few 
3:30 p.m. – Another Simple Solution 
9 p.m.: Outdoor movie showing of Disney’s Encanto at Ken Macdonald Sports Park
10:30pm (or dusk): Fireworks at Ken Macdonald Sports Park (weather and wind dependent)

Fort Macleod — Canada Day at The Fort Museum of the NWMP and First Nations Interpretative Centre
10 a.m.: Cannon demonstration in compound
11 a.m.: Raising the flag and opening ceremonies in the compound
11:30 a.m.: Inaugural NWMP Musical Ride followed by BBQ in the compound and cake cutting in the main gallery.
1 p.m.: Cannon demonstration in compound
2 p.m.: NWMP Musical Ride
3 p.m.: Cannon demonstration in compound
3:30 p.m.: NWMP Musical Ride
4:30 p.m.: watermelon eating contest

Raymond Celebrations:
10:00 a.m:. Rotary Club Parade with the same route as last year
2 p.m.: Stampede rodeo
2-5 p.m.: Canada Day market at Ice arena
4-9 p.m.: Canada Day Fair at VSP
11:00 p.m. Fireworks at Victoria Sports Park

Cardston Celebrations:
The Remington Carriage Museum will host the annual Canada Day Party in the Park from 1 to 5 p.m. Events include:
Food Trucks
Bouncy Castles
Petting Zoo
Face Painting
Carriage Rides
Admission to the grounds is free, however, some activities will require a fee.
Fireworks will take place at Lions Park at from 9:55 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
