A 34-year-old woman accused of striking and killing a pedestrian with her vehicle during the summer is expected back in court later this month.
The matter was in Lethbridge provincial court Tuesday, where Shannon Goodstriker’s lawyer requested an adjournment to allow himself and the Crown time to have resolution discussions.
The matter has been in court several times since the incident in August, but adjourned for defence to receive and review disclosure.
On Aug. 1 Lethbridge police responded to a collision shortly after 10 a.m. on Mayor Magrath Drive South and 12 Avenue. Police said a southbound truck struck a 54-year-old woman, who was taken to the Chinook Regional Hospital, but later died.
Goodstriker of Lethbridge is charged with impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing death with a blood alcohol level over .08 per cent, and dangerous driving causing death.
Goodstriker’s next court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 16.
