With a new display, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Centre is hosting a party to celebrate the summer installation.

The piece in question, called “Plants + Pollinators,” focuses on various flowering plants and the pollinating insects and animals that visit them, as the name suggests, as well as their importance to the local ecosystem.

The launch party will be hosted from 2-4 p.m. on July 13. MHIP invites those interested in the afternoon event to visit the centre at Police Point Park.

“Drop by to learn about pollination, visit our pollinator garden, make a creature craft and more,” said Genevieve Mathieu, park interpreter. She added that this event is both free to attend for all interested, and “perfect for nature lovers of all ages.”

Plants + Pollinators will be up and available for viewing until the end of August.
