Cancarb donation to MHC creates student bursaries

reporter@medicinehatnews.com President of Cancarb Peter Donnelly presented a $15,000 cheque to Medicine Hat College on Sept. 15 to be awarded to students through bursaries over the next five years. “It is an honour and a great pleasure for us to be able to support Medicine Hat College as we count on them to have talented people ready to take on demanding roles at Cancarb,” said Donnelly. About 90 per cent of Cancarb’s power engineering staff are MHC graduates, and the company also hires alumni from business administration and other science programs. A total of 15 awards will be presented to students, with three already given out Sept. 15 for the 2023-24 academic year.
