MH Paddle Club hosting free safety, demo session Thursday at Echo Dale

The Medicine Hat Paddle Club is looking to promote safety to start the paddle season. The local club is offering a free prevention, awareness and education session on life jackets Thursday at Echo Dale Park Boating Pond. From 6-9 p.m., they will be promoting water safety, demonstrations on the correct use of lifesaving equipment and the legal requirements for safe boating. As well, attendees will be introduced to the joys of paddling in a safe controlled environment with a chance to try out a kayak, canoe or paddle board for free. Anyone interested can bring their own personal flotation devices to receive fitting help. 5-4
