MLA Drew Barnes establishes Independent Cypress-Medicine Hat constituency agency

Independent MLA Drew Barnes has established a new Cypress-Medicine Hat constituency association which is seeking new members. Barnes was supported by the UCP constituency association until he was kicked out of caucus earlier this year, following weeks of questioning the direction of the ruling provincial party. According to the constituency association’s website, it was registered on June 28 and will be holding its next meeting on Aug. 9. It will also be hosting a Stampede barbecue on July 28 at the Silver Buckle. 5-4
