No word yet on Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede as Calgary’s annual show is a go

The Calgary Stampede will reportedly be held this year but there is still no word on Medicine Hat’s annual rodeo.

The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede ending its run of 72 consecutive years of holding the event in 2020 for the same reason.

Calgary Stampede officials say what this year’s event will look like is still in the planning stage.

That event is planned for July 9-18. MHE&S is traditionally held over the last week of July.

The Brooks Kinsmen Rodeo held in June was postponed earlier this year.
