Mobile site in Lethbridge has more capacity than old SCS: Associate minister’s office

By Medicine Hat News on October 3, 2020.

Capacity at the new mobile supervised consumption site in Lethbridge is able to meet the needs of the old ARCHES site, a press secretary for mental health and addictions minister Jason Luan says.

Kassandra Kitz claims that its own data states that in the months prior to COVID-19, ARCHES was seeing roughly 150 clients per day, and roughly 60 clients per day following the pandemic and leading up to the closure. The AHS-operated site can support roughly 200 clients per day, Kitz says.

Quarter Two overdose statistics can be found on the Alberta Government website.
