Strachan Road work to begin next week

Road works on Strachan Road will start next week, says the city. The work will be taking place between Sprague Way and Stratton Way. It is the final phase of the rehabilitation of Strachan Road, which started in 2017 as part of the city’s ongoing program to address failing infrastructure. This weekend the contractor will begin putting detour signage in place. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane on Strachan Road through the construction zone with a reduced speed limit, while westbound traffic will be detoured through a different route. The work will be completed in early October depending on the weather. 6-5
