Manslaughter charges laid over Siksika death

A charge of manslaughter has been laid following a suspicious death on Siksika Nation near Gleichen, the RCMP reports. The service’s Gleichen detachment announced Tuesday that charges against Rebecca Ann Yvette Raweater, 33, had been brought in relation to the June 22 suspicious death of Danny Junior Eagle Child, 55, both of the Siksika. Following a bail hearing, Raweater was held in custody. Her next appearance was set for July 2 in Siksika provincial court. 4-3
