Former gun club member pleads guilty to theft

A former board member of a local gun club has pled guilty to stealing $36,000 from the group.

Christa Keating entered the plea to theft over $5,000 in provincial court Thursday.

Police said at the time of her late-August arrest they believed the theft was confined solely to the Medicine Hat Rifle and Revolver Club.

Keating’s sentencing date is scheduled for March 26, which will allow enough time to complete a pre-sentencing report.
