Vendors arrived in the Hat Friday to set up tables at the Cypress Centre for the annual Antique and Gun Show.

The event is running 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, and will showcase vendors from as far as Ontario selling all sorts of antiques and firearms.

“This is the 17th year in a row we’ve held one of these,” said organizer Tim Hittel. “We have over 350 tables and booths this year and there’s a huge variety of antiques and guns – both sides are really well represented.

“It’s running all weekend so we hope people can swing by and check it out.”

Admission to the show is $5, with kids 12 and under admitted for free. The event is hosting four charities this year, all of which will be raising money for their own cause.

“The charities are important for our community,” said Hittel. “It’s important for us to help them out when we can.”

Hittel says there will be quite the selection at the show.

“There’s everything here,” he said. “You name it and we have it – and we always try to get new vendors every year to keep things fresh.

“There’s always stuff that wasn’t there last year, so come on down.”
