Something for Everyone markets have become a staple in the community.

Running multiples times throughout the year, the events showcase a number of local vendors as well as some from out of town – giving Hatters the chance to buy handmade goods and support Albertans.

“It’s been a good year for the markets,” said market co-ordintaor Monica Kallis. “We have our ups and downs every year, but it has gone on we’ve gotten busier and busier.

“We get good feedback from vendors and people attending.”

Saturday’s market ran at the Stampede grounds, with more than 2,000 stopping by to check out everything it had to offer.

“The big draw is the free admission,” said Kallis. “People can come in and just take a look – maybe they spot something, talk to the vendor and buy it another day.

“Nothing will ever replace getting out and seeing something with your own eyes and holding it.”

Kallis says the biggest market of the year will be held Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 this year, with more than 100 vendors selling a number of items that will fit nicely under a Christmas tree.

“It’s going to be huge,” she said. “People who need unique gift ideas, this is a great spot.”
