News seeking carriers for flyer routes

By Medicine Hat News on September 20, 2019.

The Medicine Hat News is looking to hire a number of carriers to deliver flyers around the city and in Redcliff.

Right now the News is looking to fill spots on the Southeast Hill, Crescent Heights and Redcliff – routes vary in size and flyers are delivered directly to the carrier’s house. Circulation manager Alison McKenzie says being a carrier is a rewarding way to earn a bit of cash.

“We have drivers that drop flyers off to our carriers every Wednesday morning,” she said. “Carriers receive a list of houses that get flyers and they have the choice to deliver them either Wednesday or Thursday.

“We know people have different schedules, which is why they can do it either day, and they get paid per house delivered to.”

McKenzie says there are a number of routes that need carriers and that it is a good job for a wide range of people.

“About half of our carriers go to school and the other half are retired,” she said. “This is something that can be good for anyone, really of all ages.

“We always say, people get paid to exercise.”
