Covenant Health named to Alberta’s top 75 employers

Covenant Health has been recognized as one of the top 75 employers in Alberta.

Each day they come together to serve Albertans with compassion and integrity, and the result is excellent care and a workplace that attracts people who are committed to making a difference in their communities.”

Alberta’s Top 75 Employers recognizes the top employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work based on criteria such as work atmosphere, employee benefits and professional development opportunities. Covenant Health has been recognized five times by Alberta’s Top 75 Employers, according to a press release.

Covenant Health is a health care partner serving the people of Medicine Hat through St. Joseph’s Home and the local hospice.

It is one of Canada’s largest Catholic health care organizations with more than 15,000 physicians, employees and volunteers in 12 communities across the province. A major provider in Alberta’s integrated health system.

Providing hospital care, seniors’ care and primary care, Covenant Health staff help to keep Alberta’s communities strong by creating safe, healthy and fulfilling workplaces, according to a press release. “Our staff care deeply for the people we care for, and the people we work with,” said Evelyn Myles, senior director of operations for rural health services at Covenant Health. “Our connection to the community is significant, and through them, we ensure we work and grow in a collaborative community.”

More than half of Covenant Health’s 17 facilities are in rural communities across the province, providing acute and continuing care services for patients and residents, as well as valuable employment for community members.
