Medicine Hat News The Medicine Hat Community Housing Society and the Community Council on Homelessness are hosting community engagement sessions this week. An initial Lived Experience Community Engagement session takes place tonight from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Esplanade Studio Theatre. Everyone is welcome, no RSVP required, and dinner will be provided. Tomorrow a community engagement session will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., also in the Esplanade Studio Theatre. For more information regarding RSVPs call 403-528-5178. Lunch will be provided. The first session will be for participants to share their insights to inform the priority areas for homelessness funding. The second will be to establish the priority service and investment areas for the homeless serving system. “It will be a great opportunity to talk about how our community’s current homeless serving system of care is operating and ways that we can make improvement to the design and delivery to serve those still experiencing homelessness and housing instability,” reads a release from MHCHS. “Along with our community partners, we encourage those that may be considered our “unusual suspects” to engage in the dialogue. We are looking for new and innovative ideas to further our collective work.” 8
