Robbery at the Spice Hut Indian Cuisine restaurant

Medicine Hat Police Service released these photos of the suspects in a robbery at the Medicine Hat Travelodge on the morning of Oct. 5, 2018.

Police are investigating a brazen daytime robbery in Medicine Hat today.

According to police, at about 11 a.m. Oct. 5, two unknown males entered the Spice Hut Indian Cuisine restaurant on Redcliff Drive SW, produced a firearm and demanded cash. The suspects then fled the scene.

No one was physically injured during in the incident.

One suspect is described as Caucasian, wearing a paintball type mask on his face, fluorescent green safety-type coveralls and with a shorter, stocky build. The second suspect is taller than the first, had a mask covering his face and was wearing all black clothing.

Police originally reported that the robbery took place at the Travelodge Hotel, but hours later reported it took place at the restaurant.
