Apex hosting upcoming sessions on future of work

Apex Southeast Alberta is looking to the future of work and wants to you to as well.

The group is hosting a three-session series called Emerging Industries & the Future of Work, The first session, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, is coming up on Sept. 20. It will take place at the MHC Eresman Theatre from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Among the presentations scheduled are Introduction to Hut 8, technology impacts and operations in our region by Hut 8 CEO Andrew Kiguel. Hut 8 built a 10-acre server facility in Medicine Hat earlier this year. Economist, author and futurist Linda Nazareth’s Work is not a Place and a co-founder of TerraHub on cryptocurrency and blockchain are also planned for the day.

The next two sessions, Cannabis Production with Aurora Cannabis and Renewable Energy will be on Oct. 25 and Nov. 29, respectively
