Strachan Road project begins next week, will reduce lanes, force detour and last the month

Medicine Hat News Road construction crews will be busy next week on Strachan Road. The work will take place on Strachan between Southridge Drive and Stratton Way, and is likely to continue until the end of August. The city says the work is necessary because of damage to the road as a result of severe winter conditions. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane while work occurs, and a speed limit reduction will be in place to protect workers. Westbound traffic will be detoured on a different route. 7-6
