Medicine Hat News Mounties from Redcliff and Saskatchewan have arrested and charged a man and a women with a number of break-ins and thefts of property in northern Cypress County and Medicine Hat. A statement from the Redcliff RCMP detachment says that on April 18 local officers joined with members from the neighbouring province and used tracking dogs to apprehend two individuals wanted in connection to robberies in the Hilda and Schular areas. They also recovered stolen items including two saddles, a trailer, two stolen pickup trucks and a stolen ATV. Tyler Gregory Otterson, 34, of Medicine Hat has been charged with robbery, two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of stolen goods over $5000, breaking court conditions and fleeing from a police officer. He will remain in custody and is set to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on April 24. An adult female, 29, will not be identified until a charge of possessing stolen goods is sworn in court. She was released from custody and will appear May 31. Authorities are reminding the public to secure vehicles and properties by locking doors and removing keys from vehicles to deter criminal activity. 9
