Hundreds of Hatters gave up their suits and ties Thursday to spot sport jerseys in support of the Humboldt Broncos.
After the junior A team’s bus crashed on a Saskatchewan highway with a semi-truck, 16 members of the team and its staff died, sparking an outpour of support from the rest of Canada, the National Hockey League and various countries around the globe.
A GoFundMe page started the night of the crash in support of the victims’ families, and more than $10-million has been raised in less than a week.
Many Hat businesses took to social media to show the rest of the world their act of support and willingness to wear hockey jerseys to work.
