Medicine Hat News Guilty pleas were entered Wednesday by a 32-year-old local man for child pornography charges. Sentencing for Tyler Falkeisen has now been adjourned to March 7, with a risk assessment and presentencing report to be put together for then. An agreed statement of facts was submitted but not read into record. Falkeisen has pled guilty to one count of possessing child porn, one count of accessing child porn, as well as unauthorized possession of firearm. Police say an investigation into the man began in April, when Alberta’s Internet Child Exploitation unit received a referral from the U.S. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Medicine Hat suspect uploading child porn to the Internet. Nearly 3,000 images of child porn were found on electronic devices following the execution of a search warrant July 13, with the devices being sent to ICE’s forensic examiners for a more thorough search. Police also found a 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun when executing the warrant. 7
