Wrapping up the year with stories of note

Medicine Hat News In cleaning up a review of significant events from the past 12 months, two items of note didn’t fit any of the specific categories. But, for the record: — On April 25 a Super T Aviation twin engine aircraft made an emergency landing in Calgary on 36 Street N.E. A Transportation Safety Board of Canada report released in August indicated a discrepency in the amount of fuel on board perceived by the crew and what was actually still available in all four fuel cells. — In July one of the contestants to be the United Conservative Party’s candidate in the Brooks-Medicine Hat was disqualified by the party. Derogatory comments about Islam that Todd Beasley, of Brooks, made on social media in 2017 were referenced by the party. 6-5
