The weather is colder but things are still hot at Blues at the Bow.
The Bow Island staple will host Jack de Keyzer on Nov. 23.
De Keyzer is one of Canada’s top bluesmen. He’s won a pair of Juno Awards (and was nominated for blues album of the year in 2019 for “Checkmate”) seven Maple Blues Awards and Real Blues Magazine has named him guitarist of the year on two occasions.
The accolades have also come from his peers.
Jeff Healey has called him “the finest blues guitarist in Canada” and Bob Dylan has said “if Jack de Keyzer was from Chicago, New York or LA, he’d be famous.”
De Keyzer has 11 albums on his resume and has played on recordings or live with such luminaries as Etta James, Bo Diddley and Blue Rodeo.
