Johnny Cash tribute artist hits Esplanade stage Saturday

One of the top Johnny Cash tribute acts around, James and his band will be at the Esplanade on Saturday for an 8 p.m. show. Classics like “Walk the Line” and later career hits like “Hurt” will be performed and all the tribute act bases will be covered, from the distinct sound of Cash’s voice to his way with the crowd. It’s something James prides himself on. “It’s not only about the voice,” James has been quoted as saying. “It’s about living and breathing the man — his posture, his mannerisms, his moves and his quirks.
