The Esplanade has announced 10 shows in recent days, including a five-concert series that will get you closer to the performers than ever before.

In the On-Stage Series the audience will take seats on the stage to transform it into an intimate club. The series begins with a show by Fortunate Ones on Oct. 4. Following that is Luke McMaster (Nov. 15), Don Amero (Dec. 6), Hilsburn (Jan. 24) and Earls & Coffin (Feb. 27).

In August the Esplanade takes advantage of some (hopefully) warm weather to present Truck Stop: The Great Journey outside. In this free show, five performers and a musician will take you coast-to-coast across Canada in 50 minutes. The show is a presentation of Machine de Cirque.

In October, East Pointers and Port Cities will take the stage on Oct. 9, followed by Murray McLauchlan on Oct. 24.

The Legend of George Jones featuring Duane Steele is at the Esplanade Nov. 24, while Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy are here on Dec. 3.
