PIGS: Canada’s Pink Floyd is coming to Medicine Hat early next year.

The band, which has spent 10 years perfecting its Pink Floyd-inspired act, will be at the Esplanade on Feb. 17.

PIGS has played extensively in Western Canada over the past few years, winning the hearts of fans of the original Pink Floyd. PIGS plays selections from the entire Pink Floyd catalogue — the fan favourites and greatest hits as well as the deeper cuts rarely heard on stage. Speaking of the stage, the band works tirelessly to live up to the stage shows that Pik Floyd itself produced. The voices, the mannerisms, the authentic gear, the lights, lasers, visuals, and the sound are all there.

“The crowd never knows what to expect when they first see us,” said Josh Szczepanowski, who is the band leader and in the David Gilmour role. “But I think from our opening song the audience knows they are in for a really great show!”

Tickets, $36 plus service charge and GST, go on sale Dec. 18 and will be available at http://www.tixx.ca, by calling 403-502-8777 or in person at the Esplanade box office or the Medicine Hat Mall customer service desk.
