Ticked Off All the talk about separation is ridiculous. It will never happen peacefully if at all. Ticked Off Premier Smith demands pipelines/coal mining from all provinces, but won’t put up windmills within a view. Of course, pumpjacks are encouraged, view or not. Ticked Off At everyone complaining about the narrowing roads. If you can’t make the turn, maybe you should trade in your F-150 polluter for a self-driving Tesla. Ticked Off Came across the traffic circles by chance and what a farce! Traffic circles in other cities are constructed in much larger intersections giving ample room to manoeuvre through. Ticked Off It’s amazing how lower- and middle-class Americans are like lemmings following Trump over the cliff. Can’t they see he is only out to line his pockets and that of his billionaire friends? History will show what fools they were. Tickled Pink I am absolved from blame. It was God’s will. I only did what I was destined to do. Tickled Pink Family is a very special relationship with ups and downs, when you’re sick they just show up. There’s moments when you need someone to help with your family and last minute, things that go wrong, they step up to help. Tickled Pink I have a number of bikes, several are loud (and old). I ride in a way to keep the volume down in places of people. It is possible. However, there is a small handful of man-children who love the loud noise and insist on blipping the throttle every chance they get. (Like rolling up to the light). Sorry, folks. Please remember you only notice the handful of jerks. Ticked Off Why can’t I get a straight answer to a pretty simple question: If the alternatives to fossil fuels are so efficient and affordable, why do mandated solar and wind projects require taxpayer subsidy? (Editor’s note: This would have more oomph if fossil fuel projects didn’t require so much taxpayer subsidy, don’t you think?) Tickled Pink Really enjoy the weekly “Our Town” feature on the news. Brian has a really pleasant voice and the stories are always very interesting. Ticked Off So we want to build houses, do we? Should rethink government regulation and more employees. As if this will speed up the process. Ticked Off The condition of the softball diamonds in this city is extremely poor. It’s just loose, dusty shale that badly needs compacting. Ticked Off The highway traffic lights in Dunmore and Redcliff do not operate with the same sensible logic that the lights in Medicine Hat do. Ticked Off Our provincial government is more worried about banning books that parents have a say in than the highest measles outbreak in Canada because parents object to health care. Ticked Off Signage near bottle depot below Division Avenue says one way. Yes, that means you drive in and drive around the building instead of driving out the way you came in. Drive-thru coffee place, vehicles go the same way. Also note there is a garage and a gym on the other side, be watchful of those going in and out of building and please drive careful and slowly. Ticked Off The reason there are fewer complaints about the rock music at the hockey game is because management doesn’t listen. It’s like talking to a wall and a waste of time complaining to them. Louder doesn’t make a better hockey game. Ticked Off With UCP for taking policy direction from PCE and Action4Canada – known conspiracy driven, phobic, meddling groups. Educated, experienced school librarians and community librarians understand their student/patron demographics and needs. I don’t think Alberta wants or needs to become another Florida, Texas or Utah. Banning books and burying reality won’t make the world a better place. Ticked Off All Premier Smith’s demands to PM Carney are about the oil industry. They will not affect the average Albertan. None of the demands matter to my life. Smith cares about the oil industry, not about us. We want better health care, education, taxes, etc., not a richer oil industry. Ticked Off When did tipping for good service turn into a wage subsidy? Perhaps get an education. (Editor’s note: Wait. Are you blaming the workers for what restaurants pay them? Interesting conclusion for sure.) Ticked Off So very sad, Tigers chance to win the Memorial Cup after so very many years. Whole city has come out to support them this year in a million ways. We are all so very proud of the Tigers and their coaches, especially Willie. Cheap Shaw Cable/Rogers for not going out of its way to broadcast the game live on our TV. What were they thinking? Instead we have to listen on the radio. Really? Shame! Shame on Shaw/Rogers. Shame on CHAT TV, too, for not getting on this to make it happen. (Editor’s note: They were probably thinking that TSN owned the rights to the TV broadcast.) Tickled Pink I drove to Three Hills this weekend and took in Newsies the Broadway Musical. It was fantastic production, incredible local talent and such enthusiasm! Best entertainment for $25 I have ever had! Had a great meal at the hotel ($35 for chicken, ribs and shrimp). The show runs until next Sunday. Don’t miss it! Tickled Pink Congratulations, Medicine Hat Tigers! You guys have had an amazing season and we are so proud of all of you. It’s been a real pleasure to watch you 45
