Ticked Off and Tickled Pink March 3, 2020

Ticked Off

We have easily the worst prime minister in our history, yet our paper insists on doing it’s childish rips on the Conservatives day after day. It’s obvious, subjective, and wrong.

Ticked Off

So, “In an effort to curb operating costs,” council closes the landfill, all evenings and on Sundays. How out of touch are you people? Anyone who “works” for a living, has one day to get their trash to the landfill.

Ticked Off

After reading comments made by our local MP and our two local MLAs it becomes quite clear why we are the forgotten corner when it comes to cabinet appointments. Wow.

Ticked Off

Can the city provide proper signage and lighting at the back turnoff next the BMX track to FLC or does some one need to get hurt first?

Ticked Off

Climate zealots have taken Canada hostage.

Ticked Off

Five, 10, 15 years down the road a new fire station will be far far more than $9 million, Mr. Mayor.

Ticked Off

By Scott Schmidt’s “What come next can’t be arrested away.” What he fails to mention is that we are the only country in the world who is allowing our selves to be held hostage by this climate change cult. It has to stop. If you do not see that, take off your rose-coloured glasses.

Ticked Off

It is bad enough that this corner of the province gets ignored and now our federal MP makes a ridiculous press release which will isolate us from the rest of the country.

Ticked Off

At all the people whining about paying 19 cents more per litre for gasoline than anywhere in Alberta. Get over it.

Ticked Off

I was at the State of the City luncheon where Mayor Clugston and his followers keep saying the phrase Medicine Hat Advantage. Will the mayor please explain to me and other taxpayers in simple terms what the Medicine Hat Advantage is?

Ticked Off

With irresponsible dog owners who don’t respect on and off leash areas. The Medicine Hat College walking loop is a leashed area and it should be respected.

Ticked Off

That our duly elected MP takes the liberty in his position to endorse the loser “Buffalo Declaration.” Hopefully, he will relish the quiet disrespect he has cast upon the proud Canadians of Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner.

Ticked Off

It’s ‘s time for Kenney to resign. When anybody continues to blame other people, they will never be prepared to change course.

Ticked Off

That folks blame the Liberals for the withdrawal of the Teck oilsands project. Their own board said it wasn’t viable, $90 per barrel oil is not realistic, and they support climate change action.

Tickled Pink

More columns for Schmidt to write criticizing Jason Kenney and his inept party. I can’t wait. Had many years to pass this Teck project, premier.

Ticked Off

The withdrawal of the Teck Resources application for a new oilsands project is confirmation that this country is dysfunctional and the lack of leadership by Trudeau should be the wake-up call Albertan’s need to bail out of Canada!

Ticked Off

I guess the 7,000 jobs meant nothing to Trudeau. Maybe Teck should have had SNC-Lavalin somewhere in the title of the project. Then it would have been approved.

Ticked Off

I wish the city would have taken our complaints about the condition of the road on our block. The sewer line is obviously busted and there is a sinkhole developing. When the snow melts or it rains there’s a 20-foot pool that shows up that drains under the sidewalk. Guess you guys want to wait until it’s a gaping hole in the ground.

Ticked Off

Radical First Nations protesters claim that reconciliation is dead. Maybe but they are the ones who are killing it.

Ticked Off

I will not do any business on Box Springs Boulevard again until that road gets fixed. It’s going to cost me more than $450 to repair my car now.

Tickled Pink

If the UCP passes recall for municipal councils like they are talking about. Maybe then our mayor and council members will be responsive to taxpayers’ comments and questions rather then the arrogance they now show. The exception is Coun. Samraj, who always replies.

Ticked Off

I must have missed the memo where Shrove Tuesday was changed to National Pancake Day? Where will this secularisation going to end? What will Christmas Day be called?

Ticked Off

Maybe the UCP government should rethink laying off our health care professionals with the imminent threat of coronavirus. We will need them.
