Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Jan. 7, 2020

Tickled Pink

Thank you Hatcher Drive NE, lights up and bright, just wonderful and marvelous; best participation yet!

Tickled Pink

Shopping was a breeze again this year! A few clicks of the keyboard and mouse was so much easier than dealing with tattooed, pierced-up, semi-literate retail employees who could care less if I was shopping local. Two-day delivery is great too!

Ticked Off

Aurora’s share price is at its lowest dropping from $13.57 to $2.65. Well I guess they were a sure thing. Time to repay city taxpayers back from the profits, eh? Now it’s another white elephant.

Ticked Off

That people still don’t know the actual reason for the Christmas season. It’s not about the birth of Jesus but his baptism. According to the Bible if we were to celebrate his birth it would have been late September or early October. I guess the church figured his baptism wasn’t as marketable so they lied.

Tickled Pink

Many thanks to Chat 94.5 for playing two full days of country Christmas music over the Christmas holidays.

Ticked Off

The Canalta Centre doesn’t make an effort to try and sell more tickets to the Tigers games. Give the kids a free ticket and the moms and dads will bring their kids. Parents will pay for their own ticket and hence concessions sales will go up. It will fill the stands and is a win-win situation.

Ticked Off

That Kenney is flying the globe on our dime. He was a little taller and in a dress, he would be just like Redford. People forgot why the PCs were voted out in 2015.

Tickled Pink

By the new Hill Centre walk-in clinic. They have a great setup.

Ticked Off

I see the police chief and fire chief are still in a contest to see who can spend the most money on toys.

Ticked Off

I think Medicine Hat’s only professional hockey rink has the worst ice in Alberta.

Tickled Pink

If Medicine Hat had an urban deer task force to figure out what to do with all the deer overrunning the city. It’s not good, someone is going to get hurt.

Tickled Pink

With MLA Barnes’ assessment of Saskatchewan. Under exports he forgot to mention 6,000 people, including Brad Wall, to Alberta under the NDP.

Ticked Off

Cost of living is going up and the carbon tax is only going to make things worse. We can blame the Liberal government. Cutbacks to health and education in Alberta need to happen as we are not getting the money for our resources to pay the bills and the NDP put this province so far in debt that tough measures need to be taken for our future.

Ticked Off

Albertans are anxious about our future under the rule of overlords from a colonial system.

Ticked Off

The Veiner Centre is not only getting poor attendance because of the high fees. The location should have been in the southeast close to all the seniors’ residences.

Ticked Off

The person who wants big names to come to the Canalta Centre needs to open their eyes. You can’t get much bigger than Brad Paisley.

Ticked Off

Bylaw should get out and check on all those who don’t shovel their walks within 24 hours of a snowfall.

Tickled Pink

A special thanks to the cowboy church team for the beautiful Christmas music presented at the December service.

Tickled Pink

It is really wonderful to once again see large families with six children.

Ticked Off

I’m sorry The Bargain Shop is closing. It’s the only department store in the area and the prices are good.

Ticked Off

If we were really serious about reducing greenhouse gases we would stop importing good from China, which is probably the worst polluter.

Ticked Off

That Kenney’s war room is called Canadian Energy Centre when Albertans are paying for it. Maybe it should be called the Alberta Energy Centre unless this is Kenney’s new “Fair Deal.”

Ticked Off

That a dedicated, loyal, 30-year employee was treated so disrespectfully at the power plant. Enjoy your retirement, your work will be missed.

Tickled Pink

The UCP are no longer gloating over their hasty Bill 1 action after taking power. Albertans now see Jason Kenney didn’t cancel the carbon tax, he simply handed the revenues to Ottawa.

Ticked Off

After 10 years of fighting with the River Ridge group the city chose to reject the unanimous appeal court decision and take it to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Ticked Off

The mule deer I shot this hunting season (just west of Medicine Hat) tested positive for CWD. Looks like it’s here.
