Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Aug. 29, 2019

Ticked Off

It’s that time of year again when teachers try to imagine working 184 days over the next 334 days! I guess those 160 days off including three-day weekends before Christmas and Easter breaks really are hard to take!

Tickled Pink

With John Lennox, Professor Emeritus at Oxford University, who said: “Atheism is a fairytale for people who are afraid of the light.”

Ticked Off

I don’t cut my lawn every single week just so that people on my street can use it as walking path on their way to the mailbox. Too lazy to walk all the way using the sidewalk I guess. Some people have a false sense of entitlement and think they can do what they like. Learn some respect and use the sidewalk.

Tickled Pink

I would be if I knew the legalities of a residential daycare using the back alley as a bike park for the children in its care. I wonder if the parents know.

Ticked Off

That Jason Kenney and UCP are campaigning for the Conservative Party of Canada when they should be supporting the People’s Party of Canada. Us old Wildrosers, who lost our party through treason, want a real conservative and libertarian party and free speech.

Tickled Pink

With the staff at Sobeys Liquor store on Strachan Road. Always polite, friendly and helpful.

Tickled Pink

That the People’s Party of Canada is running Christian candidates as well as people opposed to the LGBT agenda and the Islamization of Canada.

Tickled Pink

It was a nice public relations gesture for the UCP to roll back MLA basic pay. We all know our hard working representives get supplemental compensation for serving on various committees, commissions and special panels. How many extra “consultations” will be required to compensate for the wage cuts?

Ticked Off

Another terrible loss of life on an Alberta primary highway. Defensive driving skills and observance of motor vehicle laws are obviously not enough to avoid these accidents from occurring. What do we need to do, twin every two-lane primary highway in the province?

Tickled Pink

With the great work the people are doing who are taking care of the hanging baskets and flowers downtown. It looks so beautiful.Tickled Pink

If we focused first on the similarities among people, we could more joyously celebrate differences.

Ticked Off

People still think Medicine Hat should be lush and green. We live in an area one step above desert, and with climate change it’ll only get worse. Stop wasting resources on plants that can’t survive here.

Ticked Off

That more money is wasted on our curriculum that the Conservatives have been working on for more than 20 years. Now they have the nerve to say ideology of the previous government is involved.

Tickled Pink

Very good to hear that Hut 8 profits are up. They should now be paying a percentage of that to the city as their rent was drastically reduced. Not likely though as the city is a pretty submissive landlord, not like the real world.

Ticked Off

That I cannot find any pizza places that sell anchovies (they say there is no demand). Well there must be if I want them on my pizza!

Ticked Off

I’m curious and annoyed at parks department grass cutters idling their mowers while on their phones. A waste of fuel and taxpayers’ money. Hopefully their supervisor will correct this.

Tickled Pink

I would love it if the News would publish more pictures of the many deer that share our city. They’re beautiful.

Ticked Off

So annoyed by the fireman who came to inspect my business. His voice was so quiet, I struggled to hear him. On top of that, he made me reach to test my emergency lights because his arms were too short!

Ticked Off

As summer draws to a close, compliments to the parks department. The weeds along the berm were as beautiful as ever! One of these years we’ll have grass.

Ticked Off

At people who complain about immigrants coming to Canada and “stealing our jobs.” Really? These human beings fill positions that most of the whiners born in Canada wouldn’t even apply for.

Ticked Off

At the snoopy neighbourhood busybody, who patrols the back alleys looking for any perceived bylaw infractions, and then tattles to a city councillor!

Ticked Off

Outrageous that the federal and provincial governments allow inexperienced semi drivers to drive our highways and kill citizens.
