That come Jan. 1 the unofficial gathering place for large dog breeds and their owners to congregate, socialize and have fun off leash will be the Ross Glen/Taylor path along the coulee. Not nearly as good as Kin Coulee, but it’s something.
Off-site levy subsidies provide no benefit to taxpayers, only to the developers whose pockets the subsidies end up in. Do you really believe landowners will not develop their land but instead leave it sit idle because they would have to pay off-site levies? Of course not,
No one cares if you want to change lanes but how about checking the lane you are moving into to make sure it is safe to do so.
At the knucklehead texting while driving up Dunmore Road hill in an SUV Dec. 14, who was daft enough to have their hazard lights flashing.
When did the library become a drop-in centre for the homeless? Why are they sleeping on the best chairs in the building? What about those of us who pay for a library card every year? Why can’t we use those big comfy chairs to relax and read a book?
The Liberal left is waging war on our culture and they’ve brought the fight to our schools, churches, business, and even our bathrooms. There are only two genders.
Trump is not the problem, Trudeau is the problem.
It’s sad that in business the friends of employers seem to have a free pass and different rules that don’t apply to them. Truth is, it’s pretty sad when you can’t do it on your own merit. Favouritism is alive and well.
That he previous government only worked on getting our resources to one customer and we see what happens when you work with only one customer. Nice work after 40-plus years of no service.
With the number of city police we have I think we should have more check stops. Be careful, lots of impaired drivers are out there.
That I will soon been done enduring the Christmas crowds and the general inhumanity of shopping, traffic, etc., leading up to Christmas, so that I can celebrate the birth of Christ in peace.
Medicine Hat council getting a raise, Redcliff must be next as its citizens have large upcoming raises as well in their municipal bills. As long as the leaders don’t struggle, everything must be fine.
The mayor and council think they deserve a raise? A very substantial raise at that! When Hatters are struggling to pay the added costs of recycling bins, utilities, facility pass increases, property tax increases without getting a pay increase, they want a raise?
To the doctor who wrote that he had patients that did not choose MAID and died pain free. MAID is not for everyone but it should be a choice for anyone who does request it.
To thank Bob Wanner for representing us for four years and for not letting us be the forgotten corner of Alberta.
That at the next election, six city councillors will not be getting 700-plus votes from residents opposed to their decision to develop medium density housing at 352 Primrose Drive.
With the majority of council who were not intimidated by the mob mentality and approved a rezoning bylaw for Primrose Drive. Glad to see that NIMBY geriatrics didn’t get their own way.
That we still have the “advantage,” four-per-cent tax increases, big salary increases for our councillors, hikes in user fees, and taxes only $500 below Lethbridge, a city of 97,000.
To help with cost savings maybe we should copy Toronto and reduce the number of elected councillors from 9 to 7 or even 5. That would cover the cost of their raises and let’s go even further and cut some department heads to help with the proposal of four years of four-per-cent property tax increases.
With the new painted walls on a downtown hotel that are beautiful.
Some of our federal and provincial leaders have no understanding of how to lead Canada into the future. When elections occur again I trust wiser leaders will be elected.
That this government made up a passenger bill of rights law for all Canadian travellers.
