At the myopic people who think the previous provincial government did nothing in 40 years. Hard to ignore the modernization of the province including hospitals, roads, schools, etc., and also the Heritage Fund that has billions saved for our future and no debt.
Tired of all the whining about the present government by our MLA. His negative attitude does more harm than good. We know he likes the publicity, but too bad he doesn’t have some positive blood in it. There are many positives in this province that he cries about.
Congrats to the coach of the Tigers for a record-setting coaching win.
That city council caved in and now we again have empty buses costing the taxpayer millions of dollars but the union dudes love it.
Our deputy premier says couples who earn upwards of $95,000 a year get $540 back. How about us seniors who earn less than $30,000 a year? What do we get?
That the food bank is checking on misusers and denying some of them.
With chain grocery stores that have or will raise prices because of the carbon tax. It’s not as if you can’t share the cost among stores. Just a money grab for you.
I’m visiting from New Brunswick and can’t believe how slow Medicine Hat is to react to snow removal and sanding. We get 10 times the amount of snow out there as here and most is removed, sanded or salted in a 24- to 48-hour period. And this city should be using ice melt on all the hills.
Knowing thousands of citizens and businesses donated tens of thousands of dollars to local charities now really concerns us. How is this money being spent? There is no point in volunteers giving time if the budgets are not being monitored and not by the spenders but by the public.
Were it left to me to decide wether we should have a newspaper with Thomas Jefferson’s quote or a newspaper without his quote, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.
That a gentleman helped me after a spill at the mall. I don’t mind being touched when the intention is good.
That the truth about the opportunities provided for the homeless over the holidays has come to light contradicting the stories of the Medicine Hat News and the comments of our NDP MLA. Apologies are in order to the people who work so hard to provide for the homeless.
That people repeat the same old arguments about minimum wage increase. Heard the same nonsense when it went from $5.10 to $10 and the world didn’t end then either. Stop being so selfish and think of all those it’ll help.
With the way I was treated at the Medicine Hat hospital. Staff at admittance and day procedures went the extra mile to assist. The volunteer and doctor in day procedures were most helpful.
Thank you to all the amazing members of the Facebook Group “What’s Cookin’ Hatters” who volunteered to bake cupcakes for an upcoming SPCA Fundraiser. We truly live in the best city, with the best people!
If Medicine Hat and Swift Current had a successful IIHF Under-17 hockey championship, then perhaps looped in Lethbridge to bid for the World Juniors!
This is not Albania. You don’t have to print letters that deny creation science.
That the people who said everything was fine over Christmas were the ones gorging on snacks, Christmas dinner, in their nice warm homes.
I can’t believe there are people that don’t like Ticked Off and Tickled Pink. Just quit reading and complaining about it. I can hardly wait for the two days it appears in the paper. It brightens my day and makes me laugh. I wish it was in every paper.
That there has been a recent wave of information into what “ending homelessness” really means for Medicine Hat. Thanks, Medicine Hat News.
At one of the private care facilities in Medicine Hat for having their nurses clean toilets and mop floors and then serve the residents food.
That certain socialists can sure dish it out, but whine like babies when others return the favour.
