Canada has become a ‘Me First’ nation, and politicians are the worst offenders

Today I present to you all a very sad and disturbing realization. Canada is no longer a polite and friendly nation. We have become a very self centred “Me First” nation. Now I am generalizing and there are a few who are not this way; however our political leaders are. We use to be a nation that believed in God (it really didn’t matter what religion) a nation which accepted the teaching of God; love, caring, compassion and most importantly honest. Now our society had become bullies. Political leaders are being the bullies, in the way they attack each other and twist the facts to make them look like the good guy. These individuals are teaching our children (by example) it is OK to bully and call someone down if it is to your own personal gain. Some of them have told us immigration is bad for the country and that these immigrants are taking our money and our jobs. How terrible! These people come form war-torn countries and have lost everything and now we don’t want to help? We have been told they are taking our jobs away. No, they are working the jobs we won’t do. They are so grateful they are the ones contributing to our nation. Fake news on Facebook and other sites have been shown as real and honest news. The politictions have produced them like an ad to make you believe, without questioning the integrity. Our political leaders need to start working together (believe it or not they used to meet to discuss what good could be done for our nation). They need to start working for our whole country, not just one or two provinces. Yes, Alberta is a rich province but did you forget in that time the government gave us back tax money, they spent our Heritage Fund and cut health care and education to balance the budget. The only way we are going to balance our budget is by building pipelines, Mr. Prime Minister, and working together for the whole country, not saying one thing and doing another.
