Rave review for ‘Newsies’: The best local production

I was expecting to see a raving review in the paper Monday on the Top Hat Production of “Newsies playing at this Esplanade this week. Kudos though to the Medicine Hat News for the wonderful photos of the latest local musical production.

Over the years, I have been involved as a music director, actor, and producer of a number of Broadway productions with Central Alberta Theatre and Calgary Theatre Singers.

Saturday evening I was treated to a most delightfully entertaining musical production. Having only moved to the Hat two years ago, I have only seen a handful of local productions and this was, by far, the best! The music, staging, choreography, sound, and set design are all exceptional.

Medicine Hat has much to be proud of and local theatrical groups are near the top of that list.

I encourage everyone to see this outstanding local production.
