The Medicine Hat SPCA is hoping to free up a bit of space in its kennels by giving Hatters a great deal on cats.
Until Nov. 19 all cats will be 50 per cent off at the shelter – available cats can be found online.
“We’re calling November Meowvember,” said fundraising co-ordinator Kristina Segall. “We’re trying to clear a bit of space in the shelter for the Holidays.
“We’re at capacity for cats so we need to clear up space at the shelter.”
Segall says there is a wide variety of cats and kittens up for adoptions – kittens are $70 after the discount and adult cats are $50.
“The cats come with all of their health checks,” she said. “All of them are spayed or neutered – these are really good prices.”
Segall says people can come into the shelter during any of its normal hours to meet or adopt pets. The SPCA is open noon to 6 p.m. every day of the week.
“We’re always full with cats,” she said. “I think this is a good time for anyone who has been thinking about adoption to take that step and bring a pet home.
“These prices are really great and we will do what we can to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.”
