Medicine Hat's Roving Gyms project offers families with young children a place to play at different locations throughout the city.

Roving Gyms are coming back to the Hat on Oct. 16.

The gyms provide children ages 0-6 – and their older siblings – with a warm place to play throughout the colder months for free.

The fall sessions wrap up Dec. 20, but the gyms will be open again for the winter Jan. 8 to March 7.

The program is available three days a week at three separate locations.

On Sundays, it runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the South Ridge YMCA, except for Oct. 27, Nov. 17, Feb. 2 and Feb. 23, when it will be at the downtown location.

It goes from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesdays at the downtown YMCA.

And on Fridays it runs from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Family Leisure Centre.
