Racers out in full force at drag strip and speedway this weekend

Thrill seekers can have their fix this weekend in Redcliff.

Drag and oval track racers will all be out at full force this weekend for the Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association’s Power to the Pavement weekend and the Medicine Hat Speedway’s first race day of the summer.

IMCA modified, renegade trucks, elite street and hobby stocks will be in action on the speedway, with gates opening at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Gates open next door at the drag strip at 9 a.m., with time trails starting at noon and racing at 4 p.m.
