The Medicine Hat Tigers will hear the Star-Spangled Banner play for the final time this regular season with tonight’s 7 p.m. matchup against the Tri-City Americans at the Canalta Centre.

While the Americans (15-10-3-0) will open their first trip through Central Division territory in two years, the Tigers (17-12-2-0) will seek to shake off a two-game skid by closing out their US Division chapter at 4-1-0-0.

Tigers captain Mark Rassell leads the team in goals and points, at 27 and 41 respectively, as well as the team’s offensive output against the US Division this season. While his seven points in four games leads Medicine Hat, Gary Haden and David Quenneville have points in all four contests for a total of six each, and Ryan Jevne is riding a three-game point streak into tonight’s contest.

Tri-City centre and Carolina Hurricanes prospect Morgan Geekie leads the Americans in scoring with 32 points in 28 games, while Jordan Topping has an even 15 goals and 15 assists and Detroit Red Wings draft pick Michael Rasmussen had 14 goals and 11 assists in 19 games. Rasmussen and Geekie are both riding three-game point streaks.
