Rattlers teams top Olds College on home court

It was a quick night Friday for the Medicine Hat College women’s Rattlers volleyball team.

The team took on Olds College at 6 p.m. at MHC and beat the team in three sets (25-13, 25-21, 27-25) to move to a record of 3-6 on the year.

Brooke Christe and Grace Porter led the Rattlers with nine kills each, while Janessa Oelke had 29 assists. Porter and Shaya Suchy shared the lead in digs with 12.

The men’s team also played host to Olds and was able to take the win in four sets (22-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-18).

Vitor Pereiira led the Rattlers with 15 kills, Joao Pedro Freire had 13 kills.

Chad Sieben led the team in assists with 29, and had 12 digs to lead the way.

Both Rattlers teams are in action today against Olds with the women playing at 1 p.m. at Medicine Hat College and the men play after.
