The Medicine Hat Cubs lost two games this long weekend, falling to a record of three wins and two losses.
Saturday the Cubs got blown out by the Red Deer Vipers 14-3.
The Cubs opened the scoring with a goal from Matt Clement, before allowing three goals to Red Deer in under five minutes.
Noah Irvine scored before the end of the period, and the Cubs went into the second down 4-2.
Red Deer scored six goals in the second, before Irvine scored on the power play for the Cubs. Assists went to Quinten Karg and Clement.
Red Deer added four more in the third, handing the Cubs the loss.
T.J Goldie started for the Cubs, but came close to splitting time with backup Brendan Patterson
While the Cubs did not get blown out Monday, they did fall 4-1 to the Coaldale Copperhead.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first, Matt Clement scored a short handed goal 5:58 into the second to tie the game at ones.
Coaldale added a few more, including an empty netter to take the game.
The Cubs next game is Saturday at the Kinplex.
